Emergency and disaster scenes are often lengthy and lack a place of "proper facilities", let alone the presence of heating or air-conditioning and running water. These rehab restrooms and support trailers are truly a blessing for emergency/disaster personnel.
The TFFC has been fortunate to be able to design, build, and provide twelve of these mobile rehab trailers for use in Tennessee. These trailers are for use at any emergency, fire, or disaster scenes at the request and availability of any department. These have proven to be a vital asset on lengthy calls, meeting the needs of emergency service workers with clean, roomy, well-lit, climate-controlled facilities. Each unit is self-contained with a generator, complete restroom facilities, hot water, emergency eyewash station, 102 gallons of fresh water supply, along with a divided 96-gallon waste tank.
The TFFC is seeking more agencies to sponsor additional trailers to facilitate better coverage throughout the state with a goal in mind to have a trailer located, ideally, no more than an hour away from any scene anywhere in the state. For those interested, a trailer sponsorship letter detailing the process can be viewed by clicking on the link below.
